TEMUKA.
SCHOOL GAMES. A football and basketball tournament, combined with a sale of work on a small scale, was held at Temuka yesterday in aid of the school funds. There was a good attendance and it is estimated that the net receipts will total at least £25. The P«zes w°n were presented by Mr A. E. Smith (chairman of the committee of the Temuka. District High School) at toe conclusion of the tournament. The following are the results: —Open section, final: Temuka D.H.S. A 4 beat Geraldine Girls A 1. Primary section (A srade open), final: \iilford beat Temuka A. B grade (under 4ft lOin), final: Temuka A beat Fairlie. Football—A grade (secondary schools), final: Temuka A 21 beat Pleasant Point nil. B grade (primary, open): Temuka 21 beat Clandeboye 3. C grade (under 7st), final: Point 13 beat Fairlie 6.
