A letter was received from the Auckland Association acknoweldging the intimation from the local Association that it would be impossible for a Canterbury team to play ni Auckland until October X2th. The northern Association felt that this was rather too late for a good attendance, and hoped that next season a game eould be arranged without fail. The letter was received. In a communication from the Rangers Club, an appeal was made in reference to * resolution passed by the Association last week. Rangiora had played Sumner in the first round of the English Cup. and the Association had awarded the match to Sumner. A re-play was requested. Mr Bunt pointed out that the Association was now in possession of the fact that the play had not been restarted by • kick in the centre of the field. It was inadvisable for the Association to rule out the appeal when the Rangers Club ha"d sufficient grounds for an application to be made to the New Zealand Football Association. He felt that the Association should rescind its resolution of last week and order a re-play forthwith. Mr Leadley bore out Mr Bunt s remarks. He moved that the resolution be rescinded and that the matter be reopened for discussion. The motion was carried unanimously. Mr Leadley then moved that the president and Mr Bunt should be instructed to meet representatives of the Sumner Club in order to place the whole matter before them, and. to ask them to consent to a re-play. The j motion was carried. The appeal of the Air Force against the Sumner junior B teem, ±on the grounds of having piayed two seniors in th= match held last Saturday week, was upheld, and the match was awarded to the Air Force team.
