ACQUISITION OF LAND.

COUNCIL GRANTS AUTHORITY

"The City Engineer has been nego tiating with Mr C. V. Pruden and Mrt C. A. Prnden with a view to acquiring a strip of land from the frontogt their properties in connexion with the boulevard scheme," reported the Worl* Committee t<f the City Council last evening.
