RENEWAL OF VOTES. In the estimates passed by the City Council tart evening, provision was made for the following grants to various bodies:—

Cr. E. H. Andrew# asked if consideration had been given to the matter of making- a grant to the S.P.C.A. Cr. Sullivan said that this had been done, but it was impossible to make a grant unless cutting down others. Cr. A. I Fraer said the Society was doing some of the work ol the Council in destroying animals.
