OBITUARY.
MR C. J. ASHLEY. Mr Cyril Jamas Ashley, who was employed by the Bailway Department as shift eterk at thl Addington Station, died suddenly at Arthur's Pass on Saturday evening. Mr Ashley was working all day on Saturday, and in the evening he went to Arthur's Pass to spend the week-end with the stationmaster there. During the evening he had a seizure, and died suddenly. Mr Ashley was 3« years of age, and joined the Railway Department in 1911. In 1924 he was appointed stationmaster at Alexandra, Central Otago, and from there he was transferred to Addingtoa in 1925. Mr Ashley had not been in good health lately.
