"THE PRESS" RELIEF FUND.
AN APPEAL TO OUR READERS. Though there has been a tendency recently for subscriptions to slacken off, we deeire to impress on our readers the great need that exists for further assistance being provided for tho people in the earthquake-stricken districts. Great as the amount already raised and generous though the people of New Zealand have been with their contributions, it is only too apparent that, the total in hand will cover only a fair percentage of the loss that has to be made good. The need for funds still ia great and we urge our readers to I owe no time in forwarding any contributions they feel disposed to make.
