CHATHAM CUP SEMI-FINAL. WESTERN V. RANGERS. This match, to be played at English Park to-morrow afternoon, will decide who will meet the winner of the Thistle-St. Albans game in the final for the Chatham Cup. A few weeks ago the fixture would have been regarded as an easy win for Western, but notwithstanding the team's high standard of play the remarkable success of Rangers in their recent games, and particularly their defeating Nomads by 3 goals last Saturday,
makes them a very hot proposition. The services of A. Bissett in making scoring openings for the younger and mora speedy forwards to finish off by dashing efforts now makes Rangers a dangerous attacking side, ar.d, served by a verv solid defence, they will extend Western to "the fail. The letter's wonderful game against Thistle last week is still fresh in the minds of those who witnessed it. Western are in top form at present, and can he depended upon to put up a first-class exhibition of the code. _ It will be a fine game with a very close finish.
