Under the will of Dr. Patrick Mackin, who died at Wellington on July 7th, the following local public beiwests were provided for: — Wellington Art Gallery and Museum, £SOO. Home of Compassion, Island Bay, £IOOO. Catholic Orphanage, Upper Hutt, £IOOO. Seatoun Convent, £IOOO. Order of Marist Fathers, Wellington, £SOO. Order of Redemptorist Fathers, Wellington. £SOO. Roman- Catholic Archbishop. £SOO. The following further betjuests are postponed to a certain contingency : Sea to tin Convent, Wellington, the sum of £SOOO towards the erection or maintenance of a new convent. To Home of Compassion, Island Bay, £IOOO. To Catholic Orphanage, Upper Hutt, £IOOO. Lewisham Hospital, Wellington, £IOOO. Roman Catholic Archbishop, Wellington, £IOOO for educational purposes, and a sum of £IOOO for the erection or maintenance of a cathedral.
