♦- IMPROVEMENTS TO FIFIELD TERRACE. Three members of the St. Martins Burgesses' Association, in company with Cr. F, R. Cooke, chairman of the Works Committee of the City Council, »nd Mr A. R. Galbraith, City Engineer, taado an inspection of Fifield terrace, St Martins, from Wilson's road to the footbridge at St. Martins ayenae yesterday morning. Among the suggestions of the members of the Association wera cutting back of the trees on the bank of the river, the foliago of which •pread over the road, the rounding off •f the east side of th- corner of EnMi's road and Fifield terrace, and the Blteing of a protective wall on the oaak of the river opposito Elisor's road m a safety measure for motorists who might not know the closeness of the fiver.
