(Received July 9th, 10.50 p.m.)

LONDON, July 9.

The Lord Privy Seal and "Minister for Unemployment," Mr J. H. Thomas, is considering a £40,000,000 scheme sponsored by Viscount EHbank for the construction of a 75-mile London underground goods railway which would provide work for 60,000 men for four years. Viscount Elibank claims that the sehemo would solve London's street traffic problem. It would link up the wharves with the railway station*, and West End stores would have 54 stations.

It is stated that technical experts have considered every detail of the scheme, which is now in the hands of an influential syndicate.—United Service.
