JUSTICES' ASSOCIATION.
# A meeting of the Council of the Canterbury Justices' Association was held on Monday, Mr A. Williams presiding. Miss G. J. Cardale wrote Bfking the Association to assist in obtaining better conditions for female witnesses and children waiting at the Magistrate's Court, and also for female prisoners. The matter was left in the hands of the president to make enquiries. The following new members were elected: Messrs F. J. Good. G. T. Malcock, and C. H. Thomas (Oxford). Mr P. R. CHmie suggested a special raovins picture social being held for members during August. The mrttter was left in the hands of a special committee.
