FLYING TO ROME. (I'KITEa PRESS ASSOCIATION—BT BXECTSIC TZLZOBA7B —COPTOIGHT.) (Received July 9th, 9 p.m.) ATHENS, July 9. The Southern Cross arrived here on Monday evening at 7 o'clock, and left for Rome this morning.—Australian Press Association. [The flying distance from Athens to Rome is approximately 660 miles, and from Rome to London 900 miles. The airmen are making the Athens-Rome flight on the 13th day out from Australia, leaving them two clear days to complete the flight to Croydon aerodrome inside the 15-J days' record established by Squadron-Leader Bert Hinkler.]
