NO QUORUM.
RICCARTON WORKS COMMITTEE.
When the Riccartou Borough Council came to consider the report of its W T orks Committee last night, it found that there wasn't one. There was a report drawn up by the Town Clerk, but it had not been considered by the Committee.
The chairman of the Committee, Cr. H>. W. Wise, explained that the halfhour allotted from the meeting was insufficient and some other arrangement would have to be madeIt then transpired that the Committee, at its last meeting, had not been altogether a happy family, for Cr. T. M. Ford had walked out and had left it without a quorum. Cr. Wiso spoke of making tho Town Clerk manager of the borough and abolishing the Works Committee altogether. Finallv certain clauses were approved and the rest referred back.
