TO-NIGHT'S MEETING.
The following business will come Tiefore the City Council at its meeting tonight:— The Council will sit at 8 p.m. as the Licensing Authority for the No. 10 Motor-Omnibus District to consider an application from Mr Clements for permission to establish omnibus services between Christchurch and Oxford and Christchurch and Lobunu Report of representatives on the Board of Governors, Technical College, with regard to the progress of the College. Allocation of dates for street collections. Amendment of by-law re height of hedges at street intersections. Question of broadcasting from Edmonds's gift rotunda in Cambridge terrace. Subsidy on unemployment relief funds. Question of making it compulsory for all stock consumed in the Christchurch abattoir district to be killed at the abattoir. Establishment of municipal golf links. Tenders for purchase of motor-truck for Reserves Department. Tenders for removal of band rotunda from Victoria square. Report re number of men engaged on relief work. Maintenance of boundary roads. Question of widening Charles street, Linwood. Question of effecting improvements to Riccarton avenue. Report from By-laws Committee re Tunnel Road Commission. Improvements to City railway crossings. Amendment of license fees tor eating-houses. Question of change of name of Concert Hall. Prohibition of parking of ears in portions of Colombo street. Appointment of traffic inspectors as special constables. Establishment of an experimental island for pedestrians. Exemption of Little York street from further widening. Tenders for the extension of the M.E.D. office block. Question of effecting repairs to the clock in the Clock Tower. Improvements to Sydenham and Woolston Baths.
