There was a good turnover on the Stock Exchange yesterday, and sales apart from vestibule business included: £ 4j per cent. 1936 stock ... «. 2,900 »vZ. Other Government issues were firm at late rates. New Zealand Breweries" stock moved up to 26s lid, sellers staying in at that price, buyers offering 26s 9d. Bank ot Australasia buyers hardened to £l4 15s, closing quotations £l4 13s buyers, £l4 16s sellers. Goldsbrough, Mort shares remained at 52s 9d, and there were further sellers at that figure, buyers at 52s Sd. New Zealand Breweries at 64s 9d were down a couple of points on Saturday's closing prices, and more were offered at 64s 9d, buyers at 64s 6d. Stap'es Brewery shares scored a substantial rise with dealings at 48s, and there were further buyers at 47s lOd, sellers at 48s 3d. Australian Iron and Steel preference shares were taken at 21s 3a, buyers staying in at that price, sellers asking 21s sd. British Tobaccos show improvement with dealings at 51s, 50s lOd, and 50s 9d, market closing 50s 9d buyers, 50s lOd sellers. Dunlop Rubbers slackened a trifle to 27s lid. Mahakipawas were weaker with sale 3 and sellers at lid, buyers at lOjd. Commercial Bank of Sydney shares claimed firmer buyers at £27 7s 6d, but sellers wanted £27 12s 6d. Union Steam preference buyers moved up to 21s 3d without attracting sellers. New Zealand Farmers' Fertiliser shares cum dividend were weaker with sellers at 22s 2d, buyers at 21s lOd.
