SUMNBR RESIDENCE BT7RNB& At 6.38 oa Saturday evening there was an outbreak of fire at Mr R. H. Farlane's residence in Dryfle* street. The brigade waa on the ape* in very quiek time to find the building a seething furnace at the back, witfc flames running along a passage to th* front porch. Two excellent lead* of water were procured from the mains and in a quarter of an hctar the Has* was under control. By this time, however, the whole of the interior ws* ruined, the back fcart reduced to ; charred timber, and a house and fence) on the west side threatened.
