THE COMPETITIONS.
1929 FESTIVAL OPENS NEXT SATURDAY. The annual festival organised by the Christchurch Competitions Society will open in the Municipal Concert Hall next Saturday. This year the entries create a new record, and it is expected that the quality of the performances will reach a high standard. Season tickets are not being issued, but in their place blocks of sixteen tickets, which mav be used at any evening performance, and admit to any part of the theatre, will be available at 15s.
