INQUEST TO BE HELD. The dead body of a man named R. Maybin, aged about 45, was found yesterday morning in a whare on Mr A. J. Tutton'a farm, Swannanoa. The man came to the district a stranger, carrying his swag, about a fortnight ago, and found employment with Mr F. Heron potato digging on Mr Tutton'a farm. He was last seen, apparently in good health, at 5 o'clock the previous evening. At 8.30 a.m. yesterday James H. Lucas and Samuel Scott, men in the employ of Mr Heron, noticing his absence from the potato field, went to the whare and there found his dead body on the bunk fully dressed with the exception of boots. There was evidence that death had taken place only n short time before the discovery of the body. The Rangiora police were informed and they conveyed the body to the morgue at Rangiora for an inquest to be held to-day.
