The historic old Sing Sing prison, shelter for thousands of crooks, has passed into history. Its antiquated stone cells, poisonous with the memories of over a century of human wretchedness, have been abandoned for a beautiful new building costing £ 1,000,000 and housing 1700 prisoners.—-Australian Press Association, United Service.
