The police investigating the Echo Point affair are satisfied that Nola Bowley was not pushed over the cliff. The motor party included her brother-in-law, Cyril Thompson, and her married sister, with whom she had been staying at Coogee. Thompson informed the police that the girl was in bad health, but had expressed no intention of committing suicide. The party motored to Katoomba to see the Old Year out, and halted at Echo Point. Nola alighted and slipped accidentally into the gorge.—Australian Press Association. GIRL'S BODY RECOVERED, (Received January 2nd, 10.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, January 2. The body of Nola Rowley, aged 18, a resident of Coogee, who went over the cliff at Echo Point yesterday, was discovered to-day on a broad ledge 150 feet down the cliff. Her face waß horribly battered, and her arms were caught in a tree, the branches of which had prevented the body dropping right down to the bottom.
