CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS. (PBESB ASSOCIATION TZLEOEAM.) WHANGAREI, November 28. The Whangarei Spring'A. and P. Show was opened to-day in beautitul weather. There was a good attendance for the first day. The general tone is reflected in the judge's remarks that big strides are being made in the cattle and sheep sections. The entries generally exceeded those of tost vear ge showing oi Jerseys and HoUteins being a particular feature in the cattle section. All classes of sheep show a distinct advance. Pigs are on a par witn last year's showing, but the quality is much improved. , Championship awards were made as follows: — CATTLE. Milking Shorthorns (Bull)—H. v.' Kav 1- F.
