FINE BROADCAST.
■ —-—* . SYDNEY HEARD IN LONDON. (tnnnc, pbess Assocunov—by menus tBLEOSAPH—COPTBIOHT.) W)NDON, November 7. Probably the finest Empire broadcast : from Sydney was picked ap at Keston from 2ME, Sydney, to-night on a wave, length of 28.5 metres. It was a rehearsal ■ in. preparation for Saturday's cricket. The . broadcasting of gramophone records was oiystal-like and as clear as London's best. The whole programme was entirely without distort tion or atmospherics. The 8.8.C. is sympathetically considering the suggestion that its shortwaver SSW should be "used to pick up Saturday's broadcast, relaying it round the world and back to Australia. In ■ the event of the same splendid stan- 1 dard as to-night's test, it would unquestionably >be . heard everywhere.-- ! Australian Press Association. - 3
