SUDDEN CRISIS.

CABINET RESIGNS. POINCARE MAY CARRY ON. I ; RADICAL ELEMENT'S MOVE. [ ■ .... (tJHITE» PMSB ASSOCIATION—BI ELECTRIC ' TELtaBAPH—COPtBIOHT.) PARIS, November 6: The Chamber met, despite the absence of a Government, and after a eulogy of M. Bokanowski, who was killed in the recent accident, adjourned till Thursday. Angry sentiments were expressed against the Radical Socialists, a minority of whom are held to be blameworthy. "Le Temps" says that the country's stupefaction will be changed to anger if the coup results in the return to power of M. Caillaux, one of the bitterest critics of M. Poincare. "Liberte" Openly abuses M. Caillaux and says: "Have we fallen into anarchy?" It is generally believed that the crisis will last a few days, after which M. Poincare will be entrusted with the formation of a new Cabinet and will carry on with a diminished but adequate majority made up of Socialist deputies who disagree with the Congress decision. There were exciting scenes on the Bourse when the Government's resignation was announced; It is believed that President Doumergue will ask M. Poincare to continue, but as he has no majority without the Radical Socialists he is hOt likely to accept. M. Briand is named as a possible alternative. —Australian Press Association. PARIS, November 6. Following the vote at the Radical Socialists' Congress the four Radical members, of M. Poincare's Cabinet, handed in their resignations, and the Cabinet subsequently resigned. He reintroduced a declaration entailing the resignation of the , Radical Socialists from the Cabinet. The resolution was rushed through before the friends of the .Government realised the effect of M. Caillaux's action.
