MUNICIPAL CONCERT HALL.

SCOTTISH SOCIETY'S CONCERTS

The twenty-seventh annual concerts under the auspices of the Scottish Society will be held in the Municipal Concert Hall, Manchester street, to-night (Thursday) and tomorrow (Friday) night. Those concerts always provide an enjoyable evening's entertainment, and this year the Society has secured the services' of the following first-class artists, who have been specially engaged for the occasion: Miss Anne Duff (Hokitika), Miss Elspeth. Dunholm (Oamaru), Mrs Koss Brodie (Island Home, Rangitata), Mrs John Forrester, Mus. Bac, Messrs Arthur Mac Donald, Guy Struthers, Robert Allison, Jimmy Grieve, Jock Lockhart, Laurie Campbell, and others.' A special feature will be the national dancing, including reels, with full Highland Pipe Band accompaniments. Dancers who have been specially engaged include Miss Ina Bruce (a highly successful competitor at the Cowles Highland gatherings in Scotland),- Miss Cathie ■Walton, Mr Donald Bruce, and Mr John Fraser. Following their usual custom, the Society will make a free' distribution of heather from Scotland. Seats may be booked at The Bristol until 6 o'clock this evening, and afterwards at the San Toy sweet shop, Manchester street (opposite Concert Hall).
