MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. At the fortnightly meeting of the executive of the U.S.A., Mr Lloyd presided. The secretary reported that permission had been granted by the Department of Internal Affairs to hold an art union. Tlie president was appointed to represent the Association at a meeting in connexion with a proposed presentation to Dr. Blackmore. It was decided to receive a deputation from the M.U., 1.0.0. F., in connexion with economic pensioners on November 12th. An invitation was accepted from the Tennyson street Congregational Church for members to attend a special service on ; Armistice Day. Headquarters advised that it was intended to forward a wreath composed or native flora to be placed on tho Cenotaph at Whitehall on Anzac Day. It was, decided to ask the students of e Girls' ' High School to collect a small quantity of suitable flora to be forwalrdec! from this locality. Notification was received from heatlquartera that the Canteen Funds Board bad made a grant of £2OOO to the Association for the relief of unemployment. It was decided to make immediate application for £4OO.
