MT. HUTT ROAD BOARD.

MONTHLY MEETING.

The monthly meeting of the Mt* Hutt Road Board was held, on Monday, Mr P. W. Ruddenklau presiding. The clerk reported that the teams and men were engaged in re pair wor* He bad inspected Blackford road in Smpany witn Mr Todhunter. The bad condition of the road was^duei to storm water, and he suggested that the Ifoard members make a .personal inspection as the road required a , tte ntion. It was decided to make an inspection of the Blackiord road on NovemPublic Works Depart ment. wrote at length in regard to traffic regulations, and-stated that a conference would be held early inthe New Year. Highbank, wrote asking the Board's co-operation, £ connexion with the extension of teie phone hours at Methven. It was decided to support the proposal, more especially as applying to Sunday hours at Methven exchhnge. , . W. K. Wilson, on behalf of tne several parties concerned, wrote, applying for the installation of waterrace piping by the Board. It was decided to inform the writer that trie Board could not see its way with the request, and must adhere w the previous decision made. - The clerk reported that the Back Track was still a county road., i"" clerk was. instructed to obtain tne neoessary information with a view to the road reverting to the control or the Road Board. The Tennis Club was given permission to shift the pavilion on the domain. , Tt was agreed to bar Sunday tennis on the Domain.
