LONDON, November 6. The Air Ministry has sanctioned the establishment of Britain's first municipal air port at Manchester, using Chatmoss, a level expanse of 260 acres, seven miles from the city. It is descripted as. one of the best natural aerodromes in the country. The Lord Mayor declares: "We want a direct service to the Continent. We won't be satisfied with linking up with Croydon."—Australian Press Association.
