'lindrum v. smith.
The game between Lindnim and W. Smith was concluded at the National Billiard Parlours last evening. Lindrum made breaks of 403 and 386, and rer.ched the score of 4000 when Smith bad made 2468. Smith made fl break of 82 during the evening. At the conclusion of the billiard match, a supporter of the local player accepted Lindrnm's challenge to concede 21 points per game in a aeries of eighteen games of snooker, for a considerable wager, six games to be played each evening, commencing to-night (Thursday) and continuing Friday and Saturday evenings. Smith has for many years been considered one of the Dominion 's leading snooker players, and as Lindrum is one of the world's best the game should evoke considerable, interest.
