His Immediate objective is a match with Carroll for the Australian welter championship. Teddy Green, Australian champion flyweight, went the full distance in a fifteen rounds bout with Frank Taylor (Auckland) to win on points The judges were not unanimous and the referee awarded the decision to Green.
