TO-NIGHT'S BIG FIGHT.

Visiting and local boxing enthusiasts are looking forward eagerly to the fifteen-round contest at the Municipal Concert Hell tonight, whon Johnnie Leckie, of New Zealand, will meet Norman Radford, ot England, for a purse of £l6O.

Tom Heeney excepted, no New Zealand boxer in recent time* has so caught the public imagination here as has Johnnie Leckie. A surprisingly clever and attractive fighter, his great ability in- the ring has brought him eighteen wins in nineteen bouts. Norman Radford, with a fine record of successes in England, where he met eighty opponents and won seventy-two bouts, thereafter fulfilling engagements in South Afriea and Australia, should prore an admirable match .or the brilliant New Zealander, and tne contest between these two professionals snouia provide a memorable encounter. Two most promising visiting amateun, Wright (West Coast) and Brosnahan (Ashburton), will participate in the amateur preliminaries, together with Carey, Rains, Scott, McKane, and Barton. Several of these boys competed at the New Zealand amateur championship tournament recently held at Auckland, and some really excellent bouts may be expected. Special arrangements have been made, by the Christchurch Sports Club to accommodate what is expected to be a United Service Buildings.
