♦ . The monthly meeting of the Sydenham W.O.T.U. was held in tie Baptist schoolroom, Mrs Odell presiding. Correspondence was received from the Wizard Home asking for donations, and from the "White Ribbon" asking for new subscribers. Several members promised donations to the - Wiilard Home, and it was decided to hold a social evening next month to' raise/ further funds for the same cause. It being.the animal cradle roll social, Mrs Gilmour gave an excellent address on motherhood for which she was heartily thanked. Each child present was given a bouquet of flowers, biscuits, and fruit. Members were reminded that next month would be the annual meeting and election of officers. Afternoon teawas: served.
