LINDRUM V. W. SMITH.
Play in the match of 4000np.between Walter Lindrum (the champion) and W. Smith (a Christchur' h player) was continued yesterday, the former conceding 2000 Lindrum. in the afternoon, made an unfinished break 0f.36, and carried on to 572 in "the evening, making 536 in 19 minutes. -He matte another break of 369. The analscore at thV conclusion of the evening session was: Lindrum 2934, with an unfinished break of 69 to go, Smith 2350. Smith's best break to date is 47. He also made one of 44. Lindrum also gave an address on billiards generally, stressing the anchor cannon, the nursery cannon, and the pendulum cannon, illustrating the strokes.
In a snooker game Lmdrtun made 83 and Smith 75, the latter being given a start of 21. The matches Hre taking place in Nee's National Billiard Par: lours, High street.
