Tanganyika No. 1 for JanuaryMarch shipment sold up to £39 for beat marks, closing at (sellers) No. 1 £3B 10s, No. 2 £B7. The New Zealand market is still' firm, but shippers are not offering freely. Business has been done'Up to £33 for highpoints, £3O for fair, and £2B 10s for common, NovemberJanuary shipments. These are closing values. TOW. There is rather better value for second grade at £2O 10s and for third grade at £l7 15s. EGGS. Supplies.of new laid are decreasing and business is brisk at higher prices. Present quotations are: Englißh 22s to 30s per long 100; Dutch, Danish, and French, 17s 6d to 24s per long 100; Belgian, 18s 6d to 21b per long 100; South African, 16s 6d to 16s 9d per long 100; Lithuanian and Argentine, 13s to 16s per long 100; Polish and Russian, lis 6d to 14s 6d per long 100. BEANS. The market is firm and the demand is good for English, choice "winter making up to 48s 6d and best Bpring. to 575. Chinese horse for October-November shipment sold at £lO 15s per ton. DANISH COCKSFOOT. The market is firmer and there is more enquiry. The. nominal value for November shipment is 64s c.i.f. New' Zealand. OATS. The English threshing has been delayed by bad weather and supplies are smaller, choice white feed making up to 80s. There is a better enquiry for imported Plate for January shipment which sold at 255, and new crop Chilean for February-March shipment at 25s 6d. The nominal value for New Zealand A grade Gartons for November shipment is 325. PEA 3. Maple: English show good quality,- the best making up to 58s. The market for imported is very quiet. The New Zealand price is I nominally unchanged at 61s 6d for November shipment. Blues: Business is confined to English, and Dutch imported are neglected. The nominal value for New Zealand is £lB and Tasmanian £l9 per ton. WOOL. J The_ tendency 6f> the price for merino tops is against buyers. The demand continues slow for crossbred tops. The price of 50' a prepared is 2s 3d, others unchanged.
