VIOLENT STORM.
DAMAGE IN N.S.W.

A violent dust storm, followed by_ a severe thunderstorm with torrential rain caused great damage. At Oondobolin six men were injured when ft large verandah cdllapsed. A curious accident, occurred at a railway crossing at Nyngan during the storm. The wind blew so hard that seven cattle trucks were set in motion in the station yard. Gathering speed down a slight incline they crashed into a motor-car at the crossing, injuring the occupants, a man and a toy, who remained for some time trapped in the sedan car with a truck right over them. The storm Was B© violent that no one saw them. Rain and wind caused widespread havoc.—Australian Press Association:
