Tho 'ituapebu sailed from Southampton ou Friday. Tho steamer is due at Wellington on December 12Hi to land passengers, and will discharge cargo at Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, and Napier. Tho Maheno, which was to have left Sydney on Friday for Wellington, did not tail until Saturday, her delayed departuro being duo to her late arrival at Sydney after a stormy voyage, and to tho loading of an unusually largo cargo. Advice received by tho Union Company roports that tho Manuka arrived at Melbourne 'at 0 p.m.. on Weduesday from Wellington. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company's turbine liner Mataroa, which-arrived in the stream at Wellington at 0 pirn, on Wednesday' after a record-breaking voyage from London and Southampton, via Panama, berthed on Thursday afternoon. An exceptionally heavy sea in. the harbour delayed the boarding of the Port Health Officer and. Customs officials until 11 a.m. on Thursday. After loading at London the Mataroa proceeded to Southampton to pick up her passengers and mails. She left Southampton on September 28th at 2.6 p:m. Thtee days out' bKo ran into heavy galeß, which lasted a couple of days. Moderate to fine weather then prevailed until arrival at Colon at 10.45 a.m. on . October 11th. The vessel negotiated Panama Canal oh the same date, and left Balboa at 1 p.m. on October'l2th. Pino woather. prevailed in the Pacific, and the ship arrived off Pitcairn Island on October 2Bnd. After a stay of an hour and a half the liner resumed her voyage.
