The annual conference of the New Zealand Journalists' Association was held at the week-end, del*gates from Christchurch and Wellington attend-, ing. The annual report showed the aggregate membership of affiliated branches to be a record in the history of the Association. The finances were in a healthy condition, with a substantial sum at credit. • the following officers were elected: President, Mr R. H. Melville; vicepresident, Mr G L. Stanbrook; secretary, Mr. J. M. Mackenzie;'treasurer, Mr T Clarkson; auditors, Messrs L. J. Miller and C. R. Brown. Auckland was accepted as the location of headquarters for the ensuing year. .'■■'■•■
