The season lor taking opossums in? the North Canterbury Acelunatjsatien Society's district closed yesterday. The skins have been better stripped this year than in past years, Qepl prices are ruling; few have been sold under JOp. A party ef three, operating in the Mt, Thorns region, cently brought in 430 skins; and a. party Of two, operating in the Furau and Mt, Herbert localities, brought in 400, and have about 300 more to bring in. Several individual trappers have brought from 153 to 116 skins each.
