MR MCCARTHY WINS CASE. (6y Radio —Special to Press Association.) (Received July Bth, 5.5 p.m.) APIA, July 7. Reserved judgment was delivered to-day in the libel suit in which Alfred McCarthy, Crown Solicitor and formerly Acting-Inspector of Police here, proceeded against the "Samoa Guardian" with a claim for £IOOO for making an allegation that plaintiff apologised to Tamasese for his attempted arrest, which was authorised by Mr McCarthy. The Chief Judge gave his verdict for plaintiff for £IOO with costs.
