It is understood that both the Democratic and the Republican leaders have agreed tentatively to sjjend approximately 3,000,000 dollars each on_ the forthcDming Presidential campaigns, and to limit campaign contributions to 20,000 dollar? per contributor. The Republican campaign will stress, the protective tariff and prosperity issues, but minimise Prohibition . and religion unless the Democrats force these into the foreground.—Australian Press Association.
