The latest application of wireless is likely to make the task 'of a burglar more difficult. It consists of an ingenious little invention which was lately shown to the members/of a technical institute ' Paris by Monsieur Asbelhe, the inventor, and is somewhat similar to the instrument • a Kussian professor recently used in making musical waves with his hands. It is claimed that this device is so sensitive tliat a thief passing near it would set.up sound waves and produce such a forious ringing of bells that the wholu neighbourhood might be awekened.
