A STATESMAN'S PRAISE. (united pbess association—bi ELECTBIC TEI.EOBAPH—COPYBIGHT.) (Received April 15th,. 5.5 p.m.) BERLIN, April 14. Lord Birkenhead, who is on a golfing holiday, was entertained at dinner by prominent politicians and bankers. He said that even in the darkest days of the war, Britain always had a feeling of sincere admiration for Germany's achievements. This sentiment had been enhanced when it was seen how wonderfully German commerce and industry had overcome the difficulties with which it was confronted by defeat. He hoped that friendly co-operation between the nationß would prevail in the future. — Australian Press Association.
