BUILDING UP EMPIRE TRADE. (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH—COPXRHJHT.) VANCOUVER, April 13. In denouncing certain Canadian public men for criticising the Australian Trade Treaty, the chairman, Mr Tomlin, at the annual meeting of the Bri v tish. Columbia branch. of the: Canadian' Manufacturers' Association, . said the' Association favoured the pact as well as negotiations for similar treaties in other parts of the Empire, wherever possible. He declared there must be the spirit of give and take if Empire trade, is to be built up.—Australian Press -Association. . ,-.,
