BOXING.
COLLEGE TOURNAMENT
A boxing tournament of Canterbury College and Christchurch Training College was. held in the College gymnasium last night. There was a fair _ attendance, and . the following bouts provided a splendid evening's entertainment: —Light-heavy-weight, E. England and D. Thorpe; bantam-weight, D. Hampton and L. M. Perry; D. Grant (welter) and J. Amos (light-heavy); novelty bout, J. Amos and C. Amos (aged eight years); lightweight, B. B. Chester and W. Gaudin; welter-weight, Barnes and Summerville; lightweight, 'H. Hawkins and G. Watson; flyweight, Collie and L. Clegg; middle-weight, A. H. Candy and J. Sanders. Mr J. Burrows officiated as referee, and Messrs J. Saunders and T. Grave as seconds.
