Mr Brown, in 'referring to the' presentation, said that he was unable to recall that the Centre had made a presentation on any similar occasion. It was very much appreciated by Mrs Brown and himself. Th 6 chairman welcomed new delegates in Messrs Borthwick (Rangiora), Pollock (Islington), and Fox (Barringtpn). The Dominion bowl-tester . forwarded- the stamp for 1925. AH-bowls tested from now on will bear the'l92S stamp. Aulsebrook's Bowling Club applied for affiliation, and it was decided to recommend that the application be. granted. The New Brighton Club applied for new colours—jet black with gold stripes. As these colours are somewhat similar' to the Edgeware Club's, it was decided to refer the matter to tho executive. Mr Barrett asked that the matter be dealt with as promptly as possible, and the chairman said that this would be done.

Annual Report. The chairman, in moving the adoption of the annual report and balance-sheet, said that the report showed that club membership had increased, and he thought that they could- safely look forward to a good season. Their finances were in a fairly good state, the balance to credit being £143, of which £IOO had been placed on fixed deposit. This result was due to surpluses from Easter tournaments, and ,it only, required a wet Easter'' to be experienced and their finances would not be so . satisfactory. It therefore behoved them to conserve their funds. Mr . Marker was probably the best bowlitester the Centre had. ever had,, but his (the chairman's) personal opinion was that the conditions under which the tests were made were not the best. Mr Good seconded the motion, and said that the secretary was to be congratulated on the concise manner in which he had placed the year's business before them. Some discussion on. details ensued, and the motion was agreed to.

Officers Elected. . Officers .were elected as follows:—President, Mr E. J. Good; vice-president, Mr J. D. Colville; secretary-treasurer, Mr E. W. Wade; auditor, Mr Hy. Killner; bowl-tester, Mr T. Respecting the sole selector; it was decided that the same procedure as last year should be followed in selecting teams. In vacating the chair, -Mr Oakey thanked members of the executive for the assistance they had given him. ' Mr Good then took the chair.

Entertainment Fund. Mr Oakey, in accordance with notice, moved: "That for, a period of three years a sum of one shilling (is) be levied on all members of clubs affiliated to ■ the ' Christchurch Centre;—the money to be used for the purpose of entertaining visiting bowling teams. This special levy to be collected by the clubs and remitted to the treasurer of the Centre." The mover said that his chief object was that men selected to play should not be called on io« each. The suggested levy was so small that it would not be missed. Mr Evans moved tbat consideration of the motion and also the fixing of the levy for the ensuing year be postponed till next meeting. Mr. Wood leconded, and said that as it was 10 o'cloek many wished to catch their trams. Mr Firman urged postponement so that the clubs could discuss the matter.
