PARLIAMENT.

BUSY WEEK AHEAD

[THE PRESS Special Service.]

WELLINGTON, July 25. In the House of Bepresentatives this week promises to be a very, busy one. Nearly all of to-morrow's, sitting will probably be taken up with the concluding stages of the Samoa Bill. The Labour Party are certain to move a number of amendments in committee. The Bill providing for the continuance of rent restriction will also have to be dealt with this week, seeing that otherwise the provisions of the Act will expire on August Ist. There is also the Agricultural College Bill to be introduced this week, as the option of purchase over certain property necessary for the College at Palmerston North will expire shortly. In addition to all this work the House will be asked to deal with the usual Imprest Supply Bill. Upon such Bills there is always a long debate. Under the circumstances it will not be at all surprising if the Budget does not make its appearance until Tuesday.
