EVERYBODY'S THEATRE.

The picturisation of Rider Haggard's "She," now showing at Everybody's Theatre, is far from being disappointing, as so many thrilling tales OTe when transferred to the screen.

The tale of how Leo Vining seeks the mystic woman who waited 2000 years for one of his generation to return to her, is an absorbing one. The scenes in Africa are skilfully laid, and realistically produced. The > enthralling finale comes when the two seek everlasting life from the flames. Vining, robbed of the woman all powerful, swears to await her always. Betty Blythe is the star.

"Down the Stretch" is, as the title implies to the initiated in the sport of kings, a racing story. It shows, a phase of turf life that is new to the screen, the way in which the rider fights against weightwilling to sacrifice even life itself to keep his scaling-measure low. There are two extremely thrilling races shown in the picture, and it has its hilarious moments of comedy. ■
