A very interesting lecture was given to a large gathering in St. Michael's Hall, Durham street, last night by Mr W. A Kennedy on "From Springfield to Franz Josef Glacier." Mr collection of coloured lantern slides is one of the most perfect on any subject of popular interest, and was greatly appreciated by his audience. Over the fireplace in the kitchen of a house lately built by the Bangor Corporation at Glanadda two bl.ackbirds built their nest and are rearing a family.
