BASKETBALL.
CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION. At the annua! meeting of the Canterbury BasketM Association, the president, Mrs H. D: Mulr, presided over an attendance, comprised of delegate's from the following Clubs :--Training College, Technical, Meri- ***» Disc's, St. Luke's, Sawed Heart, Y.W.C.A., Bt. Andww'i, Pukeko, ana Cambridge Terrace. After the adoption of the annual report, a resume, of which has already bean published, tho following; officers for the ensuing year were. elected i—Patron, Mr J, 0. McGillimy; president, Mrs H, D, Muir; vicepresidents, Mesdames W. Brown, G. Bui't, G. Wright, sjjd Miss Scott; secretary, Miss M. Gray, treasurer. Miss D. Brown; auditor, Miss 'W. Baker. A vote of thanks was passed to the retiring officers. It waa decided that the season ha com; menoed on April 28rd with * ten minutes ■ tournament. A letter was received from the Primary Schools' Association applying for affiliation. The president suggested that as the primary schools would derive no material benefit for the coming season in the way of grounds, otc, th« desired affiliation should be granted without the customary charge. This wM agreed to. . A number of new clubs applied for amotion, which was granted. It was agree 4 to devote one Saturday P ,r month to practice games. „ On account of the Canaan v. >e» '*\ land Association football mstch on July '»«• it was decided to postpone all matches op that date.
