RICCARTON SCHOOL PICNIC.

Thn Riccarton School annual picnic was held at Little River on Friday. Tho westher was perfect, and tho large crowd of over 400 thoroughly enjoyed themselves. A varied sports programme for young and old was got through during the afternoon. Tho tugsofwar, in which the single ladies beat the married ladies, despite tho extra weight of thn latter, and tho committeemen's win over the visitors, wero very exciting.
