M for Mairncto: try testing the spark With a Neon gas tube—it shows host in the dark. X stands for Number-plates; see they are tight. And that in the rear clearly lit up at night. (1 is the Overhaul : when it falls due Don't put it oIF or your slackness voir I! rue. 1' for the water Pump: take up leaky glands. And stop any hose drips by tightening clip-bands. (j. steering-Quadrant. Take up any slack. Anil (jack well with stiff grease when putting it back. II for the Rims; if you find there is nist, Remove it and paint, or your tyre beads will bust. •S stands for .Springs; sec they luivn't a "set," Clean, grease, and then bind them, to keep out the wet. T the Transmission; occasional rare To take tip all backlash will neutralise wear. I". Universale; keep oiled, and beware That they're properly covered and not running bare. V stands i'or Valves. test the clearance all round. And ever so often they'll need to be ground. W for Wheels, see the nuts arc kept tight, I'or if they slack off you may end in n plight. X is Experience, by which you may solvo The curious conundrums machines can evolve. 1", a steel Yoke, holds the starter in place, Keep it tight, or the lot may jump clean off the ease. 7 is tho Zero mark; test all the dials. If out of adjustments "they're useless for trials.
